Cinco de Mayo with the Girls

Kathleen has asked us to set a table for Girl’s Night Out, and I thought it might be fun to combine that with Cinco de Mayo.

I started with my colorful beach towel as a table covering and it also set my color scheme of orange and pink with touches of aqua.

I used my rattan chargers and off white plates as the backdrop for all of the different colors.

I used a small plate with an aqua rim topped off with a hot pink napkin to go with my color scheme. The floral napkin rings are some I have had for many years…probably 35 anyway.

Of course, Cinco de Mayo calls for margaritas. Those must be required, right?

My cute chili pepper bowls are perfect for salad, salsa, or anything that I might serve on the side.

Almost all of my table accessories are old Dollar General purchases. However, I ran by Dollar General today to see if anything caught my attention that would go on this colorful table. I was pleased to find another flatware caddy in a new color-orange. Perfect for the color scheme that I have, especially filled with the pink flatware! I did notice that this year’s caddy is a good bit smaller than the blue and pink ones I picked up a few years back. Of course, the cost was the same as the old ones!

I put colorful candles in pink and orange in my tall candlesticks.

The rest of the centerpiece is made up of more colorful pieces, such as the flip flop dip bowl with spreaders.

I had to bring back the flamingo from last week. He it too cute and colorful not to use on this table.

Sparkly blue stones in my hot pink basket just added another pop of color to the table.

I love my bright and cheerful Cinco de Mayo table!

It would be perfect for a girl’s night of margaritas, chips, salsa, and other Tex-Mex snacks.

Hope everyone has a great Cinco de Mayo! Also, enjoy your girlfriends and cherish the memories that you make.

How fun Bev! What a neat challenge. Your table is festive and colorful and would be perfect for a girl’s night! I would have to forego the margarita for a strawberry daiquiri though..:) Now you just need to invite some girls over for a fun night…:) Have a wonderful rest of the week!

This is a great Cinco De Mayo table for a fun night out with the girls. I love the bright colors. I especially love pink with orange, it is a great combination for a grand colorful table. I have never tasted a margarita but I’m game to try one. A couple of margaritas and chips with salsa and we will be giggling like school girls I think.
